Let’s go deep here for a sec, my lovely.
(That’s what she… never mind!) 😛
Sometimes I don’t think big enough. So I’m just gonna go for it, and go, like, REALLY big.
Being “good” with your money has very little to do with travel, lattes and shoes. I encourage you to think about those things, because I want you to look toward something tangible, but it’s not about that. It’s not even about taking care of your needs, or the needs of your family and loved ones.
You know what it’s about?
Specifically, the power to make a difference. When you know you truly have more than enough for everything you need, you can give – like, really give, not in that “every dollar counts!” kind of way – to the causes, people and things that matter to you. Including yourself.
You could fund a scholarship. Gift someone a trip to another country. Finance small businesses or not for profits that you believe in. Work less. Give freely of your time. And yes, pay for travel, lattes and shoes, because those things bring happiness, too.
When you’re free from the tangles of low-level, day-to-day anxiety about your debt, savings and spending, you create space. BIG, BIG, BIG amounts of space.
And with that big space, comes power.
What would YOU do with that kind of power?
Just a thought.
